Apeiron with lecture at the 1st Stable Carbene Symposium in Toulouse on the November 30th

We are pleased to announce that our CTO Krzysztof Skowerski will represent Apeiron with lecture on Stable Carbene Symposium, which will take place on the November 30th, 2018 in Toulouse, France at the University Paul Sabatier (Auditorium Marthe Condat). This event is organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the stable carbenes discovery.

Prolongly regarded as chemical curiosities since they defy the octet rule, carbenes have become common functional groups. Due to their unique properties and broad range of possible applications in homogeneous catalysis, both as organocatalysts and as ligands for transition metals they are considered as one of the most valuable tools in organic, inorganic and organometallic chemistry. They are also increasingly applicable in medicinal chemistry and material science.

This symposium is aiming to gather chemists working on or interested in stable carbenes, and to promote exchange on the developments in carbene chemistry and share researchers latest results. Symposium agenda will consist of nine lectures given by prominent invited speakers. We are proud that Krzysztof Skowerski is also included in this list of the experts of the field.

Apeiron’s catalysts are now available in Merck’s catalogue!

We are delighted to announce that our products had been placed in Merck’s worldwide catalogue. MERCK KGaA, who acquired Sigma Aldrich is a reputable, globally-expanded company, aiming to “solve the toughest problems in life science by collaborating with the global scientific community” and we are happy to work with them as our products distributor. Currently available catalysts in Merck’s offer are as follows: Nitro-Grela, Nitro-Grela 1. generation, nitro-Grela SI -o-Tolyl, nitro-Grela-I2, GreenCat iPr, AquaMet, StickyCat PF6 and metal scavenger SnatchCat.

This introduction makes our olefin metathesis process promptly accessible to chemists around the world, which allow them to take advantages created by this valuable and efficient catalytic technology, applicable in a broad-spectrum of industries. Usage of our catalysts provides a competitive edge over the conventional methods of synthesizing molecules including, among others, lower catalyst loading and volume of solvent, higher reaction concentrations, reduced amount of by-products and wastes, easy post-reaction ruthenium removal – providing time and money saving solutions.

Now we are working together on implementation of some additional metathesis catalysts. In the near future we are expecting Merck’s offer of Apeiron’s catalysts to be broader.

Apeiron Synthesis is glad that Merck will contribute towards spreading our company’s mission of transforming chemistry!

Apeiron with lecture at Japanese Society for Process Chemistry Symposium

This year the annual summer Symposium will take place in Tokyo, Japan from 26 to 27 July. JSPC was founded in 2001, they are hosting the symposias twice a year (summer and winter edition). Members of JSPC belong to pharmaceutical and chemical industries, manufacturers of pharmaceuticals intermediates and universities. The 2018 meeting will feature invited lectures that span topics of process chemistry, total synthesis, chemical biology, catalysis, methodology development and reaction mechanism. Our own, Senior Scientist, Andrzej Tracz will have a presentation entitled “Process Oriented Olefin Metathesis – Development and Application of Cyclic Alkyl Amino Ruthenium Complexes”. We encourage everyone to attend his talk.

Meet Apeiron at Organic Reactions and Processes Gordon Research Conference.

The 2018 Gordon Research Conference on Organic Reactions and Processes (ORP) will convene established and up-and-coming experts in synthetic organic chemistry at Stonehill College, MA July 15-20, 2018. This 64th consecutive annual gathering will focus on real world examples at the forefront of target-oriented synthesis, mechanism elucidation in bond-forming reactions, and fundamental discoveries in molecular reactivity. The meeting sessions will feature a diverse lineup of international experts in organic reaction development and synthetic strategy who hail from Asia, Europe, and the Americas. You can meet there Dr. Grazyna Szymanska and Dr. Anna Gawin representing Apeiron with a poster describing “Development and optimization of synthesis and the production launch of a new generation of ruthenium-based, olefin metathesis catalysts”. We are looking forward to inspiring discussions!

Let’s meet at Chemspec Europe – 20-21 June 2018 in Cologne!

This year Chemspec Europe – The fine & specialty chemicals exhibition is taking place in Cologne on the 20-21 June. Chemspec will be great occasion to meet Apeiron`s representation and learn more about the newest advances in olefin metathesis. Our CEO Dr Michał Bieniek will be presenting at “Innovative Startups: New Paths to Fine and Specialty Chemicals”. We encourage everyone to attend his talk in the Agrochemical Lecture Theatre, June 20 at 14:45.

To learn more about our products and services please come and visit us at the stand J67 – Dr Michał Bieniek, CEO; Joanna Drygajlo, Sales Manager and Agnieszka Roszyk, Sales Representative will be happy to explore possibilities of cooperation with you.
